FaighPaid

How it works

From creating the invoice to recording the payment. You stay in control of each step.

FaighPaid is not accounting software or a debt collector. It does not file VAT returns, perform bank reconciliation or RCT workflows, calculate cash-basis VAT, or provide accountant logins. Construction/RCT and EU reverse-charge workflows are not supported.

  1. Create

Add a client, describe your work and choose the tax treatment. Choose pounds sterling (GBP) or euro (EUR); currency does not choose the VAT treatment. Choose payment terms of due on issue, 7, 14 or 30 calendar days; 30 is the default. Monthly templates keep their selected terms. Deposit and staged-invoice workflows are not supported.

For GBP, review the VAT conversion date. It defaults to the invoice date, but late-issued invoices or other tax circumstances can require another date: check with your accountant. FaighPaid saves the dated ECB rate returned for the requested date. If no valid dated rate is available, the invoice is not created. This date does not determine your VAT-return or cash-basis payment period.

  2. Review

Check your business details, client, net amount, VAT and total before creating. Creation assigns sequential IE numbering; it does not send an email or take payment.

  3. Follow up

Choose friendly, firmer or formal wording. Copy it into your own email or WhatsApp, or open the printable version. FaighPaid records the text and the action you record; copying or opening print does not prove sending or delivery. App-sent email remains an optional, user-triggered action in Settings. Creating an invoice never sends it.

Share the invoice payment link. Your client pays you directly: by bank transfer to your own IBAN, or by card on your own payment page (Stripe, SumUp, Revolut) if you add one in Settings. The money goes straight to you, never through FaighPaid. Your client taps "I've paid", you confirm, and reminders pause meanwhile.

The law behind the final notice

Under the European Communities (Late Payment in Commercial Transactions) Regulations 2012 (S.I. No. 580/2012), we may claim interest at the ECB reference rate + 8 percentage points plus fixed compensation of EUR 40 (debts up to EUR 1,000), EUR 70 (EUR 1,000-10,000) or EUR 100 (over EUR 10,000) per invoice.
What is not available?

The XML export is UBL-shaped; it is not validated EN 16931 or Peppol compliance. FaighPaid does not submit to Peppol. Validate a document with your accountant or Access Point provider before using it in that workflow.
